We have been asking our members from across the industries the reasons why they became a CPD provider. This CPD Member case study was provided by Tunley Environmental. For more information, please visit their CPD Member Directory page.
Please provide us with a brief overview of your organisation. What do you do?
Tunley Environmental assists organisations around the world to lead in environmental sustainability through tailored, science-backed strategies. Our team of PhD-level scientists deliver corporate sustainability consulting solutions that align with regulatory frameworks, scientific best practices, and organisational needs.
Why did you become a CPD provider?
We became a CPD provider to help raise the standard of sustainability knowledge across industries. Many organisations are under pressure to meet new regulations, reduce their environmental impact, and communicate their progress credibly, but often lack the internal expertise to do so confidently.
By offering CPD-accredited training, we’re able to share science-based, practical guidance that empowers professionals to make credible, measurable change within their organisations. Our goal is to make high-quality sustainability education accessible, actionable, and aligned with real-world challenges, helping individuals and businesses build the skills they need to lead with integrity in a rapidly evolving landscape.
How did you implement CPD accreditation in your organisation?
We implemented CPD accreditation by formalising our existing training expertise into structured, high-quality learning programmes that meet recognised professional standards. Our team of PhD-level scientists and sustainability specialists worked together to refine our course content, ensuring it was evidence-based, practical, and supported by real case studies and regulatory insights.
We then mapped each course against CPD’s learning criteria, including learning outcomes, assessment methods, participant feedback, and content quality, before submitting the materials for external review by The CPD Certification Service.
Once accredited, we embedded CPD governance into our internal processes, including regular content updates, quality checks, and a clear system for engaging with attendees and issuing certificates. This approach ensures that all of our training remains rigorous, up to date, and genuinely valuable for professionals looking to build their sustainability capabilities.
How has CPD helped your organisation achieve its learning objectives?
CPD accreditation has strengthened our ability to deliver high-quality sustainability education by providing a clear framework for structured, outcomes-driven learning. It makes sure that our courses are always clear and rigorous, which helps us reach our goal of making difficult environmental topics easy to understand and act on for professionals in all fields.
By ensuring our training meets CPD standards, we've been able to improve our learning paths, track participants' progress more accurately, and make our content better all the time based on feedback. CPD has also made our clients trust and believe in us more, which has helped us reach more organisations that want to build their own sustainability skills with confidence.
Overall, The CPD Certification Service has helped us have a bigger impact by making sure that our training is always strong, up-to-date, and directly related to the skills that businesses need to reach their sustainability goals.
